Does a rip broadcast re-write the entire gateways info every five minutes, or is it presenting just changes since the last broadcast?  I suspect it is the former rather than the latter.  If this is true, then what is the function of the ttl line? I think ttl is 43,200  sec (12 hrs) out of the box.  If one hashes out that line, what is the default ttl?
