[nos-bbs] jnos ftp server

Trying to get the ftp server working:  jnos 2.0i on a raspberry pi.

 From the jnos prompt (not the mailbox prompt) 'ftp ve7ass' simply 
returns the jnos prompt, same with using my 44 address for the host.  
The ftp server was started from autoexec.nos

Am I doing something silly here?  Or perhaps ftp wasn't compiled in?  
It's probably decades since I last thought about this. I would think it 
would be compiled in by default, no?
