Looks like you're in need of some Gnome core files. Pat stopped including
Gnome with Slackware several years ago. You might check some place like
pkgs.org to see if they have something that will fill in for your version of
Slackware (are you using 14?).  I thought gnome.h might be included in
libgnome, but I *don't* see it on the file list of these 32 and 64-bit packages:

Unfortunately, I don't have time to search more for you, but maybe that will

especially when you see the list of Gnome package requirements near the top:
