[nos-bbs] mfj 1278b KISS issues?

I am helping my friend Gordon get JNOS set up.  He has a MFJ1278B and
the stupid thing keeps hanging in KISS mode.  It works for a while
then sometimes the lights come on and it is just stuck.  It takes a
hard reset to get it out.  Is there any known issues with this TNC in
KISS?
