[nos-bbs] rewriting hierarchical to SMTP

If I know a BBS can accept SMTP (just as JNOS), is there any reason why it
would NOT be a good idea to have a rewrite rule such as this:

*@bbscall* $1 at bbscall.ampr.org r

In other words, even if the incoming address is
user at bbscall.#region.state.country.continent, rewrite it so that it goes out
right away with SMTP, rather than sit in a mailbox to be forwarded at the
next forwarding interval.

Does that break any headers or loop detection or anything else?

Is there any reason NOT to do it?

Thanks much,

Michael
