[nos-bbs] how to get encap?

Hi Steve,

You need also a static commercial ip number from your provider if you 
want to route an amprnet subnet for your area.

You register that info with the robot of Jim Fuller.

That info is here:

http://www.ampr-gateways.org/updates/updates.html

A new gateways list will be made once a day by the computer with all 
gateway info and from that list a
"encap.txt" will be extracted what is your routing table to other subnets.
Both are available for download.
You can make use of this encap txt or the rip table broadcast by ucsd.
Most gateways convert the encap.txt to its linux equivalent with a 
script ("munge" script) and use it in that way.

You can subsribe to the list of amprnet gateway operators at:

All gateway operators are members of this list. (hopefully)
