Yes, I understand you but it seems you have adapted their implementation
because your Alias is correctly showing as MBGATE  at Gus, I0OJJ-3 (Xneand
so also here.

Path is intermittent. Can not always connect from VE3MCH-8

seems to be the tx path v 9A0TCP-5
