Hi George, 

We haven't observed that.  In fact, we've never seen the excessive CPU
utilization situation, even with JNOS running with three ports configured
but nothing physically connected.

I'm 50% certain on the fact that a missing RS-232 connection results in 
a CPU saturation event for jnos.
It seems to take a while after the RS-232 goes dead, no crash happens.
Re-starting jnos resolves the issue.

SO -- does your host spend all available CPU on jnos after the TNC does 
what you experience?

If it does, a simple script looking at jnos cpu consumption could sound 
the alarm and maybe restart jnos.
