Excellent pointer and explanation, Maiko! But one thing bothered me
where Jason said:

I think somebody (it might as well be me) needs to say right here and
now that JNOS does not have an ICMP traceroute (hop check) built in.
Otherwise, I can easily anticipate that somebody will eventually write
back to the mailing list and say, "I tried -I switch and it doesn't
work for me."
Anyone who wants a -I switch to the 'hop check' command to make it
traceroute using ICMP please feel free to add it! It would be kinda
cool, actually. :)
