[nos-bbs] Anyone using BAYCOM boards (*modems*) with JNOS ?

Yup, that's how I've been doing it. I don't find it too stable though
especially on the low powered machines we tend to use around here.

Used to be (back in DOS days) that we'd run a packet driver and attach
to that via JNOS. I seem to recall that this was pretty stable on 386's
and the like. Of course, it could be a "halcyon dayz" rememberance.

Frankly I'm surprised that no-one has written a direct baycom like
driver. I guess as the TCM3105/AM7910 devices went out of circulation
there wasn't much call for them.

In my ever decreasing junk pile I have 9 baycom boards of different
types. Would you like me to send one one up so that you can play with
the 2k4 stuff? If I recall correctly, it's not compatible with the MFJ
"turbo" 2k4 upgrade that they sold for their TNC1200 series.

Now that I think about it though, I don't think that 2k4 would work. I
*think* that Linux feeds data to the modem at 1200bd because there is no
buffering etc. This would suggest that the driver (ser-12) would need to
be messed with. If you're gonna mess with a driver you might as well
write one from scratch.
