[nos-bbs] New to packet, running linux, looking for some advice

Yeah I think that might be the issue, the encapsulation.

I just applied for a /29 so I'll wait on that to proceed further.

I stumbled upon lots more info mining google and the archives here
today so I'm quickly getting a better picture of what is going on with
all the axIP / NetRom / FlexNet / TheNet. It's still a little grey to
me the differences or if/how they actually interact, but I'm slowly
chipping away at that.

I downloaded many of the MFNOS files and got it running a bit under
dosemu on linux too.

Once I get the ampr allocation I'll work my way through one of the
NOSes until I have it on solid ground.

The plan is hopefully to have a packet gateway of some sort up and
running 24/7 by early spring. I have to squeeze a 2m rig and another
antenna into the picture for that. Put a little packet light on a
dark spot in the region.

Thanks again for the help and comments from all.
