Despondent is a bit over the top. I am sad that nobody noticed
however...

Jnoswiki is built on moinmoin that is built on apache that is built on
linux that is built on a dual-processor workstation/server connecting to
Internet via DSL. In that stack are multi-platform choices, and even
the wiki text can be moved to some other wikis without too much change.
I chose the CGI option, and php is the native language (no SQL) / but I
have yet to write my first line of php:-) The learning curve might be
steepest in the subject of admin -- just how to convince moin to achieve
what you want to do (like dis-allow some spammer). There is a good moin
reflector to follow.
For the most part moving jnoswiki can be plug-n-play. Even the domain
can be shifted over with just some web work at no-ip site. Managing the
jnos content is real trivial - except it is not automatic.
Speed is not of the essence -- I have months but not years to do this.
