[nos-bbs] HELP WANTED - smtp authentication

One more issues for this round of experimentation...

I opened smtp to my ISP last night for the first time and authored some
Internet deliverable mail.
SMTP got to the point where my ISP demanded authentication from jnos -
my norm is UID and PWD.
The mail was "returned to sender".
All that seems normal to me...

I have looked, and I have not found, how to provide authentication
information to jnos smtp.

What am I missing?
