Well, what I *meant* was, if you aren't going to use JNOS for
TCP/IP support of any sort then why bother using it at all.

I've been using NOS for nearly 20 years and trying to simplify it
through "better" programming for about 15 years and I'm still just
getting started.  :)  Several, no doubt, would call me a lunatic for
doing this.

If any nonsense I utter is actually deemed to be usable by you for
whatever purpose you may need it, then by all means have at it.  :)
