[nos-bbs] CPU consumption change after 4(?) days

I don't have a multiport card in my linux box but I do have on in the box I 
use to run my Winlink Classic BBS (HF and VHF port + serial port to radio) 
and I have never had a minutes trouble with it. It is a NetMos card with 2 
serial ports and 1 lpt port (I use the extra lpt port to run a PIC 
programmer). 

I have used a USB-to-RS232 adapter with a robot I have that uses an oopic-R 
control board. I program it using my wife's windows XP laptop which doesn't 
have a serial port. It works ok too.

I don't see enough difference between them to have a preference. If the 
programming for USB interfacing is difficult, certainly the multiport card 
would be the  path to take.
