Using an SCS PTC is always a learning experience.

For example, I would advise anyone who is trying to use it with
the JNOS HFDD support, to please make sure and add the following
command :

   LISTEN 0

to the list of commands you run when you first initialize your SCS
PTC modem, with minicom or whatever else terminal program you use.

The default is actually 'LISTEN 1', and if you have your radio on a
very busy frequency, and your TNC turned on, and you haven't used it
for a while, you will start to pull your hair out AFTER you connect
to the station you are trying to connect to.
