I located the problem, the dns server could not be reached so messages
where never send on.
I must have messed up something with the tun interface

I temperarely disabled the domain server and added an up to date
domain.txt and messages are working now.
offcourse that still leaves the problem of a non working tun
interface.does anyone see what is wrong with it?
the tun offcourse does not have to be in the 44.137.27.16 subnet but can
also run on my local lan ip or a completly different subnet.
just in case it makes it simpler to figure it out, jnos has ip
44.137.27.17, linux has 44.137.27.18 on the ax25 ports and 10.0.0.203 on
the eth0 port, the router/adsl modem is 10.0.0.138.
thanks
