Hi Mike,

Which RPi version and which distribution you use on the SD card?

The easiest debug is to use a micro USB current meter, the RPi's
consumption difference from idle to transmit should be about 50 mA.

If you going to listen to the transmitted signal then need to tune your
radio to 14.0956 MHz in USB SSB mode.
Your RPi also needs internet connection to make the frequency calibration.
