Totally off-topic, however I have come to appreciate the brain trust on this list...so "here goes"...
***Please reply direct, Off-List***
I manage a fleet of Dell laptops.  They are all plugged in to Dell docking bays which apparently maintain 100% charge at all times.  Batteries are failing after a year.
The Dell power manager can be set to charge to 80% however it nags people to say it is doing that and is disruptive (I can't find a way to silence it).
I'm wondering if anyone is aware of a laptop docking bay that supplies connectivity through a USB-C port ... that can be set to address this problem?  Maybe one that can be programmed to stop supplying power for a couple hours a day to allow batteries to do their thing?  Or...maybe one that is smart enough to stop charging at 80% capacity?
