There has been a donation of a dozen or so KPC-9612 Dual Port TNC's to fuel
renewed interest in a possible 9600 baud KA node packet network along the
Appalachian mountains from Maine to Georgia similar to what we do each
year in the one day Golden Packet event (Golden Packet Event (aprs.org)
<http://aprs.org/at-golden-packet.html>

If we can identify a frequency (and band) for the backbone then there is
also a potential donor for a dozen radios for the backbone side (220 or
UHF?).

See East Coast 9600 baud backbone (aprs.org)

So, anyone that has potential access to existing ham sites along the way,
ket us know.
