[aprssig] SmartBeaconing for Bicycle mobile

That’s why for anything important, I like regular-interval reporting and
not Smart Beaconing. If the interval is every 2 minutes, then you know you
should be hearing from every asset every 2 minutes and if you don’t, then
something is wrong.

The channel optimum for 1 min rate is 6 mobiles

For 2 min rate, it is 12 mobiles, etc..

For 3 min rate, it is 18 mobiles, etc.

Might I suggest that you use a 5:1 ratio?

5 mins @ 2 mph with 1 min @ 10 mph?

Theoretically that would update at the same delta distance between the
speeds,

making the track more 'regular', so to speak.

(almost like making the reports based on distance change instead of elapsed
time)

Thank you. I'll try 2mph @ 2 minutes and 10mph @ 1 minute tomorrow and
see how it works out. We're not in a very busy APRS environment here,
so the 1 and 2 minutes shouldn't be a burden. Especially not coming
from a 5w HT.
