[aprssig] Washington DC Digipeater (or, lack there of)

Since I had to drive in to the office, I figured I would bring the TH-D72
with me.  So far, I haven't had a single digipeat of my packets from
anywhere in DC (around the mall, union station, & china town).  Not even
from the roof of my office building where I can see the Capitol, Monument,
& Reagan airport.

I don't drive into DC very often, like many, I usually take public
transportation, which makes handheld transceiver coverage important if it
will be useful.  How does this compare to other big cities?
