I bought a  5.25 in. floppy of dosAPRS from Bob out of his trunk at the Gatherburg MD hamfest either in 1993 or 1994.

I think the version was like version 1.5 or so. He charged me $19 with the GPS password for lifetime support.

A good buy so far.

Under the name APRS, it was 23 .7 years ago at the DCC presentation in TeaNeck NJ in Sept/oct time frame.  The concept of using a one-to-all connectionless packet mode for this kid of app dates back to around 1983 (or so?), when I used it on Comodore 64's and VIC-20's for tracking runners in the 100 mile endurance run and National Disaster Medical Exercise. But that main page is not updated continuously.  So it was in its 21st year when that page was last updated.
