Especially if the continent wide APRS 144.39 is used for its intended
purpose in every local area as an information resource channel. If you
monitor there, EVERYTHING about any local area should appear on your radio
within 10 to 30 minutes. That is the purpose of APRS. A universal
information resource. NOT vehicle Tracking!
So put an local Object beacon on 144.39 DIRECT at the UHF sites indicating
the local UHF frequency using the "frequency format". Then ONE BUTTON on
the Kenwoods and Yaesu's will instantly QSY for the local UHF channel.
