Hi,

It should not be necessary to remove duplicate packets at the igate, since 
the APRS-IS servers will in any case do it for you.

It might be better that the APRS-IS servers do it instead, so that there 
will be a smaller amount of slightly different implementations of the 
duplicate filtering algorithm.

The APRS-IS servers also then have the option of learning information 
about the duplicates you hear via different paths, and do something smart 
about them in the future, maybe.
