Many people have had a run at it over the years, from my APRS Virtual Meeting in the late 90s to the recently deceased APRS wiki by N1VG. Pretty much the universal experience is that it is hard to do and very hard to do well, it is a thankless job, and despite everyone's best intentions little help is actually given and we each find better things to do.
