That sounds like a lot of effort to enter each bike number and it requires
special equipment.  How any key presses are necessary to enter and send each
bike number?  APRStt would be a good solution for this scenario. It would
only be necessary to press a few keys on the touch tone pad of an ordinary
HT to report a bike going by.
