[aprssig] linux sound card modem/tnc assist

Hey ya'll:

I just built a loaner laptop and would like to see if anyone has set up 
the packet engine to do APRS using nothing more than the sound card?  I 
have all the ham utilities installed, but a pointer in the right 
direction could sure help.  My goal is to use xastir with this setup, 
and also, perhaps basic ax25 keyboard2keyboard packet  if I can find a 
packet program for linux.
