With a terminal program I'm sure you can send the appropriate commands
yourself with a terminal program.

Oops. The above is for the D700 which appears to have one serial port for
both the radio and the TNC. Therefore I don't know if the following
paragraph is correct.

I'd really, really like to see the Repeaterbook Android app build in this
capability so I can click on the screen and change the D710 frequency. Of
course this would also require a Bluetooth to serial port adapter on the
D710. Or that I can do something similar when I see a nearby repeater
object coming in on an APRS Android app.

I did find some information at
http://www.trinityos.com/HAM/CentosDigitalModes/misc/D710-TNC-setup.txt with
links at the bottom.. Ahh, here we go. This PDF file has the commands in
it. http://n3ujj.com/manuals/control_commands.pdf but it's rather
cryptic.

I'd suggest joining the Yahoo TM-D710_TM-V71 group and asking in there. I
see that at least Kai, who was a co-author of the control_commands.pdf file
is active in that mailing list.
