Yes, a simple cavity filter works wonders (single can notch filter) at my site. The club repeater on same tower is 145.150/144.550 and also a Dstar machine on 145.400/144.80.
At another RF intensive site we placed a single can filter as well, probably RF intensive as a mountain in CA. (TV, FM Radio, NOAA WX Radio, commercial gear, etc etc)

I pick these up at flea markets for small money and worth every penny!
