W8fsm-14 was setup this morning in the north hall booth 175/176. It is a
full service igate with direct only fill in digi running aprx. If you look
at the booth you should see an x50 on the piping that's it. There is a UHF
analog repeater on the same antenna 442.3500+ 107.2 pl. last look at
aprs.fi had 32 stations heard direct. It is hearing mobiles direct from
i75 as well. Randy love wf5x just walked the whole arena on 30 milliwatts
UHF and was full quieting. He also was 3 miles away on an 2watt ht and was
into the repeater fine for
Harbor freight. This will be setup for the whole hamvention.

I just sent a ?IGATE message to KM8EMA and KA0AZS and they both claim to
be bi-directional IGates. Unfortunately, WA8ZWJ-1 is running something
claiming to be X-APRS (Linux) and it doesn't seem to answer an ?IGATE query.

Now, with all of the APRS RF traffic that's got to be flying around up
there, I'm not sure you'll be able to squeak a message through though.

Does anyone know if there are any Tx-capable igates in the vicinity of the
Hamvention? It looks like KM8EMA might be capable, but I'm not sure if
it's enabled.
Other options are KA0AZS or WA8ZWJ-1… Anyone know for sure? It would be
great for someone to put the T/W (Transmit-capable Igate) icon on an actual
transmit capable Igate up there…
One more thing to make sure we get right for DCC this year, I suppose.
