This is the second amateur balloon this year to exceed the capabilities of
modern ballooning technology without even trying. It's all part of a
government conspiracy, you see, that's why so much of the data is secret!

Seriously, though, the fact that this balloon survived the night without
any ballasting is just as incredible as the recent multiple-day flight of a
latex weather balloon. Neither of these things should be - nor have been -
possible.  The weather balloon behaved exactly like a polyester
superpressure balloon (it didn't even leak any gas for days!) and this one
is acting like one of Lally's RACOONs, but at far too low of an altitude.

Proof to me that the world ends in December, so have fun until then!  :D
