Hi.
I ran Memtest86 overnight, 2 full passes, no errors.
I also found a power management dialog behind the "Advanced" link in the
power settings properties dialog. (The one you get clicking on the icon
in the notificaiton area.) It's now set to "Disable" any power
management for any USB port... I forget the exact phrase.
For the "other" radio control software I've created, I found I had to add
short delays between the call's that sends the data byte, and the calls
that then wait's for a response. 30ms seems optimum, but it's
configurable from a .ini now.
There seems to be layer upon layer of buffers these days between the
application, and the wires to the outside world, also some "smart"
(alegedly) stuff that seems to try and pre-empt what you want in the name
of speed. That issue at least has now been fixed, but I'll test the
HRD/DM780 issue later.
I also found and flipped the Restart after failure switch, so I should be
able to see the full error when it fall's over unatended now.
I've also got an idea how to hack the newer FTDI drivers that wont
recognise the older FTDI chipset based other OEM branded device I have.
I'll report back when I've meddled some more.
Regards.
Dave G0WBX.
