That should be TEMP7-7 for this event.

Not used for this event

Not used for this event.

The only settings you need are to set UITRACE TEMP, and enable it (if that
is a separate menu item). But from the factory, the D710 should already
have UITRACE TEMP set, I hope..

Good luck.
I've got my D700 in Annapolis on line now, but don't hear anything yet.

Oh, then I set my beacon to 5 minutes. (because I am not going to be here at
this location)... But at home, I will probably beacon at 1 minute, until I
start seeing any activity..., then I'll drop it back if I am away from the
shack.

Use own call I guess.
But you must use a path of TEMPn-N as suggested on the web page. ANd
probably you should enable your station as a TEMPn-N digipeater using the
UITRACE parameter. Just set
UITRACE TEMP

What do we do for SSID? Own call. Any other settings
  that need to be addressed?

To exercise the ad hoc capabilities of APRS, a
nationwide APRS Day Out is planned to coincide
with the Septemeber VHF QSO party (10 Sept).

This will be conducted on simplex 147.585 with no
existing infrastructure. The test demonstrates our
ability to re-constitute connectivity using our
own stations as digipeaters where needed. Many of
    the stations that manned
up the 15 mountains from Maine to Georgia during
the 2000 APRS packet attempt will be back on their
    mountains to form a backbone.

A great weekend to on 10 sept to see how the
ad-hoc network looks. Got to a high location and
operate, for fun! I'm going to focus on 1400 EST
    to maybe 1800 EST.. Bob

    See: http://aprs.org/APRS-day-out.html

This uses the special TEMPn-N capability rather
    than the typical WIDEn-N path.
