I'll agree - Verizon was about the worst for this, and with all their newer 'smart' phones, they just are not locked down. I transfer photos/data off my phone all the time, in fact, I often use it as a USB drive to carry files around, why not, the space is there. That and the fact that at least with the plans I have (all the smart phones require a data plan) I have unlimited data transfer/month - over the air transfer is free - and with a 4G phone, amazingly FAST (hint, tethering to my cell phone can be faster than my cable modem!!)
