Must be a loophole... Cause they are putting it in writing for those that 
asked, no net metering is available.  I suspect that if one were to push 
they would probably bill you for labor and such to install such a meter, but 
none is available.

Are you in Minnesota? Minnesota has required compensation for net
excess generation since 1983...

If I understand it correctly, the local municipality is required to
have a compensation policy. Maybe I'm missing a loophole here.
