Actually there is no transfer switch with grid tie solar....
The inverter is wired into the panel via a standard breaker, or with some of the simple ones they just plug into a household outlet. They sense the grid power and only feed power to the grid when its up. If the grid fails then the inverter shuts down.

Some utilities will require additional homeowner's insurance...just in case, as well as the transfer switch.
