I link the Blackviper page on my useful links page, and use his 'one-click' reg 
files to disable services.  However LitePC goes far further by completely 
removing tons of stuff completely rather than just shutting it down.    I 
typically reduce the footprint of an XP install by at 300 MB with LItePC, and 
significantly reduce the "hackability" of PCs by completely removing the 
Internet Explorer/Outlook combo.
