Thanks to Lynn - KJ4ERJ
I took the 10 day end of Nov 2010 map and have posted it on
APRS.ORG because it shows exactly where the holes are in the USA
network. That covers Thanksgiving holidays, the highest travel
days of the year!
Here are the major holes I see:
AL I-20 west
GA-Savanah: I-95 N and S. Also to Atlanta
IN-North
LA-Central
MO-South
MO-North
MS-central and I-20
MT-North. & outside of Billings
NEbraska
ND/SD-eastern N/S interstate
NY-southwest
OR-east
TX-Lubbock
Fix these, and we have APRS coverage as good as the cell phone
networks (interstate coverage!).
