The balloon is cruising at 107,000 ft which is just above the 10 mb surface. There is some but only a weak relationship to the jet stream winds which are typically 200-300 mb (30-38,000 ft). There are not many resources for winds near 100,000 ft, but I have some charts at http://nstar.org/GFS which are updated manually. 73 de Mark N9XTN
