Because that kid with a cellphone has an LCD for immediate feedback of
entry errors that can be corrected before transmission? More and more
they're using a full QWERTY keyboard, too.
The big problem I see with APRStt (and it's a huge one, IMO) is that
any dynamic data is entered blind. Yeah, I can store my call and a
few preselected messages, positions, etc beforehand, but I just can't
see the implementation effort being worth it for a few static
messages...
