OOOOH!   I hope you have your "umbrella" insurance liability policy up to 
date!   There is a reason why properly done emergency systems have a thing 
called a "transfer switch."   And even then I didn't trust the house wiring 
to not have some "crossover" wiring error between circuits so when I bought 
the Generac Guardian I also sent a letter to the power company warning them 
that I had the capability of generating my own power.   Within two days they 
had installed a disconnect at my transformer!   You simply cannot rely upon 
"remembering" to do the right thing.  Older readers of this will know 
exactly what I'm talking about.   The rest of you are "still young yet, and 
might learn!"

And by the way, I do believe I have an excellent relationship with my power 
company and last summer when a noise problem shut down all HF operations 
here within a few days they had brought  a large tracked vehicle over 70 
miles to move down a steep hill and across a swamp to fix the problem!
