[aprssig] SKY1 - callsign? Wayne County, Ohio.

I've lost count of how many airplanes we've seen now, and many with NO call
sign in their packets. Many are arrogant to the point of using filthy
language in their beacon to basically tell us to buzz off. I'm beginning to
wonder if there is a major problem developing out there, in which somebody
has discovered that all they have to do is buy some radio gear and put it on
144.39 so all the friends and family can track their travels. I've seen
similar things from time to time where somebody sell HT's on 446.0 and
claims "no license needed". I'd be interested in finding out just why so
many seem to think they can operate without a license.

I'd also recommend the BUDLIST be used at the TNC level, and perhaps
something else could be done in Findu and aprs.fi to keep from carrying
unlicensed, illegal traffic -- IF it's discovered that these people are not
licensed.
