I concur with the other comments. Don't get the Alinco TNC. If you do go 
with the Alinco radio, get the T2-135 from Argent Data at 
www.argentdata.com. I've used it at various times as a tracker, digi, WX 
station, and KISS TNC with UI-View.

If you don't need a mic and 5W is enough, look at the T2-301 also from 
Argent Data. It is basically a Tracker 2 built into a 5W radio. It's 
about twice the size of a deck of playing cards and very versatile.
