Yeah, right!

I used to run the launch schedule website for Vandenberg AFB.  We had an 
evening launch once (Minuteman II MSLS as I recall) that apparently 
stopped traffic on the Strip in Las Vegas.  Normal traffic on the 
website was 1,000 hits/day, or 10,000 hits/day for a launch day.  This 
one got 100,000+ hits before the (deliberately throttled) database 
connection got too clogged up to work.

My contact info was on the site, so I got phone calls from media across 
three states, probably because the Public Affairs phone number was busy 
constantly.
