[aprssig] Speaking of GPS...

I have an eTrex Vista HCx, and treat it very gently. It's only a little over a year old, yet the glue under rubber band around the outside is failing and turning into some sort of goo. Not a good sign...

Anything else I should be aware of? Other than that, I really like the unit.

  Does anyone in the
group happen to have a manual for the ol’ Magellan Nav 5000 Pro GPS receiver?
An electronic copy would be fine or if you have a hard copy please reply
directly to me (off the reflector). Yes, I’m aware Magellan has a manual
online for the Nav 5000DLX but the two models don’t operate the same. Wouldn’t
it be nice though if a Nav 5000 Pro could be upgraded to a Nav
  5000DLX.
