Hi all,

I currently own an RC-D710 which I've been using with a TM-V7 (the "new,
cool and blue" rig) strictly as the TNC portion of the system. I'm thinking
of replacing that radio with either a TM-V71 or TM-D710. Aside from expense,
are there any additional features the V71 has over the D710? I would be using
the RC-D710 as a replacement for the stock V71 control panel. And, yes, I do
know I can connect the RC-D710 to the data port of a TM-D710 to have two TNC's
on separate frequencies ... but would such a beast be able to "gate"? 73
