[aprssig] Kenwood D7 software on Linux?

Hi Dave,

CrossOver (which is a configuration front-end to Wine), puts every program in its own "bottle", which is essentially its own PC.  That way, different programs don't stomp all over each other's DLLs, etc.  I've never had a problem with Admin rights, and looking for the equivalent of the Windows Registry I see a nice text file with stuff in it.  Apparently, Wine emulates the registry with its own database of sorts.  The 0.0.0.7 entry is there, but not the com port.  Bummer.  My guess is that it isn't set until the Preferences page is saved.

I did a quick Google for other D7 programs, and didn't find much.  The Link program and a TCL/Expect script is about it, besides Kenwood's original.
