 From memory, they tried this, then released a "Linux" version of the HW.

What actually happened was they released HW with WindRiver's proprietory
O/S (Yes, the same one as on the Mars Rovers) that needed less memory,
so they cut the memory in half.

They then re-released the same model with more memory again. The details
of exactly which models have which, should be at openwrt.org
