[aprssig] A New "Space" Trend ?

I've noticed those as well, and have actually used a few non-numeric
SSIDs myself (but after dashes) for stations that are APRS-IS only.
Non-numeric SSIDs cannot make it onto RF. In fact, the RF spec only
provides for 4 bits of SSID, so only SSIDs -0 through -15 are
RF-compatible (-0 is the same as the naked callsign and is usually not
specified).

Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Opinions are based on my interpretation of the specs
that I've read - YMMV
